Manufactured from US FDA 21 CFR compliance Polycarbonate (PC), pre-filled with a non- toxic insulating solution. They come with a lid with good optical clarity and a printed grid for easy sample identifications and non-skid feet to prevent sliding on the benchtop. Break-resistant and stackable design. Holds twelve 0.2 to 1.5 mL micro-centrifuge tubes. They are uniquely designed to chill biological samples quickly to -20°C for use in molecular biology
applications such as Ethanol precipitation of DNA / RNA samples. There is no direct contact between the tubes and the insulating solutions, so level and marking won’t come off. These are used as alternatives to dry ice-solvent baths for quick chilling of specimens including ethanol precipitation of DNA / RNA samples.
These coolers should be stored at -20°C for 24 hours prior to use.
